One for maximum voltage
One for duration at max voltage
One for float voltage.
And not have the unit fill half the garage.
I've yet to add a spring wound timer to my Meanwell RSP 500-15, and might not. My Storage unit uses the 30 minute Intermatic spring wound timers for the lights and often I go in there and find it stuck on 27 minutes when I am the only person there.
How much effort is the OP willing to employ in order to reach trojan's specs?
I've really been digging the Meanwell with a 10 turn pot and GTpower meter. I generally set it for 0.1v higher than I want my Vabs and let it rip until amps into the single 31 fall below ~ 1.8a. Then I disconnect it, wait for battery voltage to drop, Dial the MW to 13.6 or 13.12, and plug it back in and it will hold that voltage rock steady no matter what load I place on it.
My single 12v 64LB group 31 easily gobbles up 41 amps. If reduction in generator run time is desired, I'd not limit amps into a Pair of 124LB GCs to 55 or 60, unless the generator is maxed out at that level anyway.
I've also found I can lower ABSV on my Meanwells 41 amps compared to my Solars ~10 amps For about the same result at the end of Vabs stage, specific gravity wise.
I'm no low and slow advocate. My AGM requires high recharge rates, but I'm finding my flooded battery responds better to them as well.
You can go this route. It can be controlled by your laptop, and has a Maximum charge power capacity: 1000W (at >30V DC; 408W at 12V) Once you set up a custom charge profile thru your PC it can be stored. 25 available and then can be adjusted from the chargers keypad.
