NinerBikes, can you be more specific as to what digital volt ammeter you use, or will most any do? Is the shunt just a battery cable and if so, what gauge should it be? How does the S-400-15 attach to the existing system? Is any soldering involved (I can solder). Do the Powerwatt units come with good installation and use instructions (I couldn't find anything of this sort on their website).
Sorry for so many questions but I prefer to know what I'm getting into before I buy something that requires installation. Thanks.

If you prefer the slower ride over objects on a 26'er, then you should not object to charging batteries slower either, with lesser amp capabilites.
