That is a lot of dough whether their $600 or $1K for a pair of batteries delivering 220 amphours, of course it is your money and if it makes sense for your situation then by all means go for it. Nothing is more of a pain when your 12 volt reserves are not up to the task when RVing off the power grid.
In the 11 years with our current TT we have paid $60 each for a pair of GC2 Interstate batteries that gave us 7 years and still had life in them when we traded them in for our current set of Duracell GC2 batteries that we purchased for $80 each and provide 235 amphours, they are on their 4th season.
As for the negatives pointed out above, we have an Iota IQ4 converter and watering batteries occurs about once a year. Gassing poses no issues since our batteries are on tongue of TT, and corrosion is virtually nonexistent since we add water to the correct levels, over filling often leads to corrosion issues.
Battery topics are common on this forum and they do merit cause for concern since any successful RVing excursion relies heavily on their performance. For us though, we have had good service from our Samsclub GC2 batteries regardless of their badging. Just proper charging and periodic maintenance is all we do.
