Shurflo pump problem

I just used a phillips screw driver on the screw located at the front of the head end of the pump.

There's either:
A leak in the plumbing or
The pumps check-valve is bad or clogged or
There's debris in the pump head.

I have fixed several of these by simply taking the head apart and rinsing the parts off under clean water. They all worked fine after reassembling.

You likely have a drop in line pressure or a leak somewhere telling the pump to turn on, or a bad check valve that is pumping water into the fresh water tank.
