Shurflo water pump problem

I just flushed out and drained the fresh water tank at the valve on the tank two times then added more water to the tank and took the aerators off the faucets, turned on the water pump and ran the water and after about a minute the water pump started to work fine, turning off when the faucets are off. Apparently whatever was plugging the diaphragms flushed out the faucets when the aerators were off. I replaced the aerators and all is well. From now on, due to our hard water issue, I will flush out the fresh tank and drain it at the valve twice a year. I think it will prevent the problem I had. Thanks all for the tips......Don.
