Silly question . again

My 2,000 watt name brand inverter , if it is turned on but there is absolutely no load except the inverter internals , is it drawing the 2,000 watts , amps from my house battery ? In other words if I forget and leave it on for a while will it run my house batt down ?

Your inverter will draw a small of idle current from your batteries... My AIMS 600WATT PSW Inverter will draw less than .6 dc amps when sitting idle with no load according to the spec sheet.

I leave mine turned ON when camping off the power grid as it has a remote control feature. When at home parked it is turned OFF.

  • Lord no. Got owner's manual?

I'm sorry but I do agree with your post title. Why on earth would the inverter do that??
