I am glad to see that you already replaced the WFCO. That was a good start.
Before the depression, we had a business converting retired keel sloops to performance cruisers. That means adding the creature comforts like an effective house electrical system. I like AGMs a lot, but there is a simple issue. GC2s from Sams/Costco ~180$. AGM GC2s best price ~700$. For many owners that was a simple decision.
I can tell you that the AGMs will last longer. Will they last three times longer? Not likely, but they will need no maintenance until they need to be replaced.
If you really don't need the house bank for much, just put a cheap 12V jar in there and replace it when it gets bad. Don't spend extra for a Marine multi purpose as they are not worth the extra. You will have a very hard time finding a true deep cycle 12V as there is no demand.
I can't tell you what will work best for you, but my coach has a pair of GC2s that are starting to loose capacity and they are eight years old.
