Single big battery v/s 2 batteries in parallel

Due to size limitations of the battery tray on the frame of my travel trailer, I can fit 2 smaller batteries side by side, or one big battery. So, which would be better? Get 2 batteries and put them...

This is true for ANY battery. The only way to be 100% is to have multiple banks of batteries that can be switched in/out as needed.
