Single big battery v/s 2 batteries in parallel

Due to size limitations of the battery tray on the frame of my travel trailer, I can fit 2 smaller batteries side by side, or one big battery. So, which would be better? Get 2 batteries and put them...

I will add that 2 x grp-31 12V AGMs will also work because they can be stood on end and have the same footprint.

Sam's Club has 100AH grp-31 AGM for $180. That might be more readilly available than the 6V size.
