I am getting close, but have to decide if the convenience is "worth" the money. I think one would meet my requirements.
But what if my requirement changes and there is more time off-grid? Now I need two or else find a way to bring a generator or whatever scenario.
How would a SiO2 like to be paralleled with a Wet? That is what you have with the engine and house batts with the Pin 4 always live with the Chev truck. And if you did need another battery for a longer time away, can you just do a few days with another Wet batt you bring along in parallel?
I have had set-ups with a split bank--one for just the inverter high amp loads and the other for the normal 12v RV loads. Could do it that way to avoid parallel.
