- BFL13Explorer IIThey will have fewer cranking amps than a starting battery, but ought to work in good conditions. (ie tractor starts easily)
Question is recharging them. A starting battery gets recharged right away with its thin plates. A GC2 has thicker plates. IMO try it and do some hydrometer checking after each tractor use until you are sure the GC2 is getting recharged ok. - RJsfishinExplorerYou could use all 4 in parallel if you want more crank time

I am having to replace all four of my Interstate GC2-ECL-UTL batteries. Will one of these batteries work on a Ford tractor with a six-volt system?

Yes is the quick answer but I had better starting with an 8 volt on my 9N. I eventually converted to a 12volt using a delco alternator & homemade bracket . It's been at least 20 years since I had that beast. - Sam_SpadeExplorerWill it "work" ?
Sure....if it will fit properly....
AND if it is still healthy enough to hold a charge.
But if that is true, why are you changing them out in the first place ?? - Chris_BryantExplorer IISure, no problem.
