It does finally get there, just without 110, and it takes 15 mins to finally lock and shut off. I agree about a west coast verification on this (please?). If this really is an issue with satellite realignment then I think Winegard owes us all firmware updates.
But what satellites would be used? If they no longer use 110/119 is the hardware in question capable of setting the skew reliably using 99, 101 and 103 since the satellite separation is now 4 degrees instead of 18? And are they willing to put in the time and effort to change and test the firmware for free or even a charge for good will? Are the customers willing to pay someone to install the firmware (since many may not be able to do this themselves)?
Assuming 110 is not available in some areas apparently DTV is not concerned about any fallout. Most home systems are not turned off or reset on any regular basis and no need for a controller to point the dish. Besides just call DTV and they will be happy to install new equipment with a new contract.
