Yes, you risk bending the frame on brute force impact events. But for the run of the mill, slow 'n easy drags, I doubt it. Usually, I can see a drag coming, and I ease through it - if I can go slow enough to not have traffic broadside my rig as I'm entering/exiting the roadway slowly.
