slide & awning switch wiring
I'm going to install new switches for our slide out and awning. The factory puts them on the underside of a cabinet next to the entry door and I will mount them on the side of the cabinet instead. Not sure why the factory doesn't do this to start with. The slide is Lippert and the awning is Carefree.
I'm also going to change from white switches to black. I can get black switches locally but they are a different brand. The existing ones are made by Sigma and have 8 connectors on the rear. There's 2 double connections so it essentially has 6 connectors. The new one is made by American Technology and has 5 connectors but it has built-in jumpers for reversing the polarity while the Sigma has jumpers between connectors.
Does anyone know what wires are for what and how to convert to a different brand of switch? I expect that electrically, the wiring is the same but is just connected in a different manner and I will splice wires together as needed. Had a quick look on google and didn't find anything.
I found this wiring diagram, but don't know if it's for Lippert. switch wiring diagram
