In the pictures above it looks like the gear and rollers could be shifted left to track on the arm better. It's not clear how that would be done.
On the opposing slide, the rack is also tracking on the outside of the pinion gear/rollers. On the left side it's tracking on the left. On the right side, it's tracking on the right. Not sure why. Maybe the manual will give a clue. So I think the tracking issue probablt predated the slide hanging up on the way out and propably helped it to jump the track.
