Slide not level

We have a 2015 open range fifth wheel. When extended the slide is the floor is not level. How much would be considered a maximum amount for a slide floor to be out of level. We just got the trailer back after being at the dealer and and factory for 4 months for this issue and I am not at all satisfied with the results. Thanks

  • The factory sent it back like this so I guess will try it for a while. This model has a patio that is mounted on this slide and opens up when your camping. The extra weight from this may be part of the problem. When the factory had it back they beefed it up underneath to help resolve the problem. The gap does very from top to bottom where slide meets wall. It is a cable system and I guess this is as good as they could get it.
    Thanks for the input.
  • I don't think that will be an issue but it depends on the design. If the slide is a square box, you'll want it to slope away from the RV to keep the rain running off.

If the roof is already sloped, the floor can be level and the roof still shed the rain.

I usually decide how well the slide is adjusted by how even the flange seats when the slide goes out.
  • Checked the slide today. It slopes 1/2inch in 2 feet.
  • Never noticed or thought about it.
If the side wall of the slide is parallel w/ the sidewall of the RV when it is a couple inches out, I don't know how it could be far off level. How much out of level are you talking ?
