Slide not sliding

Hello,
Posting this for a friend that just bought a '98 TS EXPRESS 5er. Has three slides but one will not slide out. I've not seen the 5er as we live 2100 miles apart. I've never had a slide out but thinking there should be a way to hand crank the slide out. Am I correct and would each slide have its own fuse? She really knows nothing about this trailer also shouldn't the slides be lubed? Thanks for your help.

Yes there should be a manual crank to operate the slides. Each one should be independent.

You need to ask if the slides mechanisms are electrical or electric/hydraulic. There can be additional considerations with electric/hydraulic.

Just off the cuff guess there are likely fuses, broken wires or worn out switches causing the problem but this can take time to troubleshoot. And may require someone with some knowledge of how they work.

Thanks for the info. Not sure if electrical or hydraulic but headed back there for a visit and trying to get an idea before I show up. I live in san diego area about 100 miles from SFV. 74 and sunny pretty much year around with ocean a stones throw. Yea I know, why on earth go back to Detroit? Gotta visit a lady there. :-)
