- C-Leigh_RacingExplorerUpdate,
The slide awning in question, is the Carefree type, has the 1" curved tubes on each end about a foot tall that supports the center tube.
The awning fabric, is quite a bit longer than just a topper cover. It can be extended even more once the slide is out completely & then pulled out to create window awning.
While doing some more searching on the net, was a member with another H/R & he made note that the topper could be removed, about 3" of the fabric cut off & then the rib sewn back in place & awning installed back onto the coach.
That Tough Top fabric reads like some good stuff, I may just replace the awning fabric all together instead of trying to repair & re-use the old one.

- C-Leigh_RacingExplorerThanks othertonka, just what I was looking for.
Now to find out what brand of awning we have, because its not an A&E like in the DIY video.
Thanks again.
Neil - othertonkaExplorerGo to Tough Tops web site and it will tell you how to order new fabrick and the DIY section will show you how to do it. You need a minimum of 2 people but 3 is better to keep from tearing the new fabric while sliding it in the slot. A couple of ladders will also help
Tough tops
When it comes up, click on DIY and scroll down to slide Toppers video and watch how to measure, order, and install. Not too bad of a job with 2 handy people
