It runs ok and powers the 35 amp Vector 1092A at 20 amp setting and also the bigger VEC1093DBD at 20 amp setting. For some reason that 35 amper does only 18.2 at the 20. The 1093 does 21.0 at its 20.
Used my Kill-A-Watt Unloaded voltage was 120.8v
1092A- output DC 18.1a. 118.4v, 4.07a, 320w, 59.9Hz, PF 0.66, 448VA
1093D- output DC 21.0a. 118.4, 4.16a, 3222w, 59.9hz, PF 0.65, 492VA
Thanks for your update, very informative. :)
Several years ago when I owned an EU2000i I rewired my house furnace so if we ever lost power I could simply park the genset in the backyard and run an extension cable out to it from the furnace. I just checked the furnace again this morning running on normal house power with my Kill-a-Watt meter ...
PF .64
VA 706
Watts 451
Amps 5.71
Volts 122.8
... which unfortunately confirms this 500 watt Powerhouse genset, 'though a virtual steal @ just $200 Cdn + tax, just wouldn't be able to power my house furnace. There goes one excuse to buy it. :(
It also won't run any of my power tools (another excuse) so that pretty well leaves the trailer where about the only purpose it could serve would be for recharging my single G27 battery with my current CTEK Multi US 7002 charger but @ a maximum charge rate of just 7 amps that in turn would result in an excessively long genset run time just to get the battery from 50% to 90%. Replacing this 7 amp charger with a 25 amp CTEK Multi US 25000 would shorten that run time substantially but if I assume a similar PF of .58 and estimate 620 VA & 360 Watts to power the larger charger this little genset is just not going to be able to handle the load. :( Darn, all my excuses to buy this little puppy are going out the window ... too bad, it's otherwise a great deal. ;)
