Technology brings new stuff every week if not a day, but I have been using one of those $80 generator for couple of years and for $80 (had a coupon) it powers everything in my camper but AC, that requrire firing build-in 3600 W propane guzzler.
Those small generators are not easiest to start, but if you are handy with small engines, you manage.
This. I have the blue one that was available and I've had it now for 5 or so years. The price was the deciding factor but I knew I didn't need a lot of power. Also a positive is harbor freight's fairly lax return policy.
Those little generators seem to need a bit of time to warm up for the RPM to stabilize. Which for $80 I'm more than happy to wait five minutes or so. For me the only negative is the small gas tank, having to fill it every 2.5-3 hours at full load.
I did make a plywood quiet box for it which gave me a noticeable decrease in noise.
