It conked out when I went up to 35 amps on the 1092A, as expected. I forget if it was the circuit breaker or the engine. Anyway, easy restart.
I'm heading over to PA this morning to take a look as I'm curious as to how small this little genset may be or whether it's not much different in size, as it is in weight, to a 1000 watt Honda or Yamaha. You've tested yours at 20 amps but do you have the means to tick that up a bit to 25 / 26 amps @ 14.4 volts and tell me if it still can handle that load? I'm curious because that's what I'd be doing with a CTEK Multi US 25000 or NOCO G26000 ... that's about 375 watts but I'm thinking a PF of ~ .58 would put the VA way over the limits of what this little genset can do.
