Small inverter w/ remote off/on
Is there a 150 to 400 watt inverter w/ remote off/on ? I can't find one.

The inverter itself, no. But I have a small wireless on / off gadget that is designed to turn lamps on or off from across the room.
It would leave the inverter powered up, but disconnect the load from it.
