My inclination would be to use a 60 watt panel with a cheap charge controller. It may do a better job of maintenance than a 5 watt panel.
5 watts would be ok for one battery--but probably not for two, if a battery disconnect switch were used. Parasitic loads do add up, especially on our new almost totally computerized vehicles.
