I have panel #6 and it works great in my truck. My truck can sit for weeks in the winter in our cold weather and I have had issues with the batteries losing charge due to all the electronics on these vehicles drawing current. This panel eliminated the problem. In fact the truck has sat now for 3 weeks and I just started it this morning for a short trip and the batteries were strong. I do what you want to do-lay the panel on the dash and plug into the cigarette lighter or power plug. If it snows I make sure to brush the snow off of the windshield.
