Does a solar charge controller have an internal fuse that can be blown? If so, can it be changed out like a fuse in an inverter? I purchased a new charge controller, all is connected properly but no LEDs are lit. My inverter is working fine, it has a display and it shows no charging taking place.Connection Diagram

My inverter is working fine, it has a display and it shows no charging taking place.Connection Diagram get that solar 30 wet once in the rain and you will have detroyed it and it will act just like you're describing that unit has to be mounted inside and I don't believe there is a fuse mounted inside of it I've opened mine up and found it to not be salvageable

It's fresh out of the box. Hard to return from where I am at. That's why I was wondering. I guess I can open it up.

Diagram shows controller connected across the battery jumper as a dead short.Controller should be connected to the same terminals as the inverter.Get the polarity right or the smoke can be released.Doubt it has an internal fuse.

Ok, kind of a novice in the sense I've had solar for over a year. I need to relabel all the cables. I took a picture for now. Thanks.

Great!

For connecting anything else only use the terminals where the inverter(and now solar) are connected.
Nothing should connect on the terminals with the jumper.

Fixed! Thanks again. I moved the cables with the inverter and all is working. Solar is charging, charge controller LEDs all lit, and the inverter is showing the charge coming in.

According to that diagram
Electrically both wires are on the positive of the first battery

The output should be connected the same as the inverter
Move the black/negative wire for the out put
You have controller out put shorted
It is probably dead..unless it has short circuit protection
