That's true about the shunt measurement, but I think the requirement to get the charging amps down to 0.5 is with no draw on the batts. I ended up disconnecting the controllers from the battery (arrays first of course) I was surprised my controllers seemed to draw so much, having not checked that before, but I am not sure I got that right. I will poke around some more.
