OK, what do you call it when it stops tracking the MPP at the end of the Bulk stage and goes into its Absorb and Float stages which are with no MPPT?
Morningstar 15L says:

When the battery has recharged to the Absorption voltage
set-point, constant voltage regulation is used to prevent
heating and excessive battery gassing."
So how does it do that constant voltage regulation? What is that called?

regulation, the current from the solar array
tapers according to the battery’s condition
