Folks here have insisted panel voltages rises during abs/float. Nope, their meters read the ave of Vmp (ON) and Voc (OFF), with increasing OFF times the ave voltage does rise but there is NO power at Voc or the controller would get real hot.
Others insist no MPPT during abs/float, I consider that unanswered, is the controller still tracking Vmp? No oscilloscope no mppt! :p
The OP could do 2 parallel strings of 2 in series.
