I did, with Rogue 30. Everybody was telling that 30A is too small for 500W, Jim in Denver still is, and I believe him :)

My panels are flat. I avoid mountains, don't feel well at anywhere over 800ft, this is second. MPPT + high temps = reduced current, this is third. In winter 500W flat panel works as 300W at best. Low energy use, shallow battery cycle, by the time the sun is high it goes into Abs and current drops to 15A or lower. With some dust on the panels and 0.5-1.0% annual drop due to panel aging I doubt I will ever see >30A.
Looks like OP bought Eco 20. Screwed up voltages when temperature fluctuates much, and no Abs time. What can I say... Any controller is better than no controller. Manufacturer sells them cheaper than Amazon, btw.
