Rick, with Rogue 2024 I would get their remote interface display. Then it becomes - leaving 20A aside - like Rogue 3048. Even better, because remote. Everything could be done on the fly - or let the autopilot do the job. Their display is not just a meter like on Morningstar - it's a full control panel.
I hear you on cheap connectors leading to similarly cheap parts inside. They've skipped on many things in this Eco 20. The body - don't know if it's a plastic or metal, but it doesn't appear to have adequate ventilation.
#8 size is not a problem on the panels end, but a battery end "might" need a bigger cable. Or it might not. Depends on the cable length.
