Did a test of the solar kit and it works GREAT! Re-charged the house batteries that were down about 20 amps from the previous day. Big plus is it's stored under the dinette seat with the big outdoor patio mat. If I had to, I could put another panel under there and strap the mat to my cargo bin. Yes, I did check the volts and amps with my clamp-on amp meter. Volts were the same, but the amps were actually 5.4 amps at the battery.

My connectors and 10 awg cable came today and it took about 5 minutes to put on the Anderson connectors. The cable is much stiffer that the 10 awg cable the kit came with. They sent me 18 feet instead of 15, no complaints here. Turns out the original cable wasn't really 15 feet but 13 feet and 2 feet going around to the controller. So no with the additional cable I have 31 feet and it will go around the MH. Works GREAT, no complaints here. Test will be next week on a short trip to the beach. Thanks to all for the info. In reading Renogy suitcase owners manual, it says charge controller Max PV input power-120 watts (12V). So I guess the answer is no on the 10amp controller. It's not much more to get one with another 10 amp controller. Obviously not like the one I have.

For your situation just buy another unit like you have and be done with it. You will have 2 controllers that will get the job done and easy to store. Don't do what I did & think it to death. I was on the fence and it drove me nuts. One night I just ordered what I have and it's done.
