470 watts with two 6Vdc CG batteries should work great in the NW
As pointed out earlier they are big and heavy
Yes you can easily use 6 mounting points and not have any worries
I have 4 each - 140watt panels (560 watts with just 2 each CG Batteries) mounted with 6 each points of special VHB tape, stainless screws and marine glue. The mounts will never be coming off the fiberglass roof. Shipping costs were a major driver for my purchase of the smaller panels.
I believe it's far easier to get it all laidout, wired up and completed at one time rather than add the panel or other things later.
Suggest a 45amp controller (470watts / 12 volts = 39amps)
Any good quality panel should produce it's full 100% rated wattage under the right conditions. My way of thinking is to always have some controller headroom, maybe later you will add another panel or a connection for remote panels, or??
