I have to run pretty much 3 hours on a generator to get a good 90% charge in the batteries, and if I had a way, I'd prefer 100% charge, but getting that last 10% charge is a lot easier with a simple PWM charger controller and solar panel than it is a generator to get to "float" charge level, or full 100%.
So what I've seen recommended by many here is to get the generator going for an hour or more, first thing in the morning, and then let the
solar panel do the topping off to full charge, the rest of the day.
Yes I do have a WFCO 8800 series power converter. Maybe that's part of the problem. Thanks, Jeff.
