Looks like Flexible panels perform as well as non-flexible panels as a practical matter for RV's. I have used both types on my boat and could see no real difference other than the flexible panels are easier to install. The material used to make the cells and over all construction are the largest factors and of course the better the performance the higher the cost. So to me it has become a no brainer to use flexible panels on a RV-- especially when the roof on a RV is not really made to handle them-- as in the case of most trailers.
