- Tom_M1ExplorerCostco is selling a Grape Solar 100 watt panel for $139.97 including shipping. It's not the same panel that AM Solar sells, but it's an attractive price.

Yes, AM Solar sources their solar panels from Grape Solar in Eugene, OR which is right next door to Springfield, OR. I wouldn't be surprised if Greg Holder has a stake in Grape Solar.

I did say that N-S will be the orientation after the recommendations here. Yours is just one more reason to keep that layout (N-S that is). I do have to ask to make sure. :)
Some of your orientations are running parallel to the rafters. It's unlikely you'll be able to screw into them.BFL13 wrote:
This might be difficult for me.
Mena it will come out right as long as you remember--the square pegs go in the square holes; the round pegs go in the round holes. - SalvoExplorerSome of your orientations are running parallel to the rafters. It's unlikely you'll be able to screw into them.

This was more of an orientation and how much room do I really have exercise.
What happened to finding the rafters? Isn't that a priority? The panels need to run 90 degrees to the rafters. - BFL13Explorer IIMena it will come out right as long as you remember--the square pegs go in the square holes; the round pegs go in the round holes.

That's pretty impressive!
But before I left I checked the meter and they were still cranking 5 amps through that ice.pianotuna wrote:

They are amazing panels though. This morning I took the snow off them but couldn't get about a 1/4" of crusty ice under the snow off them and I couldn't see much black under it. When it started snowing here Thursday afternoon it was about 36 degrees F and that's what caused the crusty ice under the seven inches that fell later. I planned to come back later in the day with a better ice scraper and get it off. But before I left I checked the meter and they were still cranking 5 amps through that ice. They might have done more but it was in float. When I came back there was only a little to do as the sun had melted most of it even though the high was only 15 degrees F today.
If those weren't so damn expensive they would be the hot ticket.
