Solar Panel Problem?

When you say "off the panel" that is confusing everybody. I think you mean "from solar" so you can tell how much of what you see on the Trimetric is from solar.

In that case you simply have your "solar meter" (where the controller does not have its own) on the output of the controller before the Trimetric's shunt.

Your solar meter shunt goes in the neg wire from the controller to the outer end of the Trimetric's shunt where all the other negs go. (The inner end of that shunt goes to battery neg.) The solar meter positive goes to battery to power the meter same way the Trimetric's pos does.
