It's been said before that if you are going to be in a very sunny location that there is no huge advantage to MPPT. Be in the PNW or like me deal with daily afternoon clouds and MPPT shines.
Like many things there isn't a better, there is just different ways of doing it. (dispite the hype) We always ask for loads but we don't often ask for conditions, time of year, etc. In my case I need as much as possible, as early as possible to get my charging done before the afternoon clouds. Early on is when PWM is at a disadvantage for me.
