"Plenty of amps" is defined as more than I would get with a PWM set-up and a couple of RJ specials ($13 each). Otherwise, why blow $108 on a fancy MPPT controller like I just did? If it doesn't do right, I can always paint it like a salmon and punt it into the river so Mena's sister (the mermaid) can chomp on it.
The Eco-Worthy controller has a button on it that displays what your MPPT percentage is over what it would be with just PWM. What do you bet it always says MPPT is better?
I suppose it reads before and after the buck converter--no idea.
I could test that with my 130w when I know it is doing 8.2 amps and see if the Eco-Worthy would say that PWM would be 8.2, while it invents some huge MPPT amps number for comparison.
