Solar Panel Voc-MPPT?
Wondering if there is any relationship between measured Voc and MPPT performance with a 24v panel. My 12v panel has a Voc rating of 21.9 and Isc of 8.2, but I often see 8.2ish when Voc is only 20....

I measured my MPPT controller efficiency which is documented in the graphs above. Even did a few static measurements with external meters and obtained very similar results. The unit does better than what Morningstar claims - from my expereince they tend to be a bit conserative with their specifications / ratings.

Yes indeed its all about I/O POWER as in Wattage with MPPT controllers
For me the solar system is a power source for my power hungry loads not a battery charger - the battery bank is typically fully charged by 11:00am.
well, got my raw data, need to compose and post. However, glad I saw this post on morningstar efficiency. The efficiency calculation on the sunsaver 15A unit I have came out higher than I would have expected for my recent experiment.
