I went down the fridge vent, but if I was going thru the roof, I would have planted my combiner box over the hole using Dicor. To hold the wires down, I used several ss hold down clips w/ ss screws, w/ a blob of Dicor below and on top.
I hate Dicor,....its sticky, gooy, gets all over everything, takes too long to set up, but its still the best for lasting forever.

Does SS stand for stainless steel?

    Yes.

If an RV shop was doing the install, they would probably use Dicor.
  • +1 on down the fridge vent. I used little strips of Eternabond to hold the cables in place on the roof.
  • I used a strain relief at the fridge vent to get the wire down. No sealant.
Otherwise I recommend Dicor self leveling caulk for typical rubber roof penetration.
Need to have a J-box or something to hold the wires in place.
