Unfortunately, batteries and solar panels are not included with the AC unit according to Amazon. The future looks promising for solar's ability to power high current items for extended periods, but at this point I will stick with our Champion 3100 for such extreme duties. With gas at $1.80 a gallon in our neck of the woods, our Champion will easily power our AC for roughly 50 cents an hour. We love solar as does our RV battery bank, when temps are moderate and the skies predominately clear, we can forego any genny usage aimed at replenishing our 12Vdc reserves.
