Solar Q Charge Controller Settings Trojan T105s

I am running 4 6v T105 batteries in series parallel to give me 440 Ah: 12 V system

These are the setting on my charge controller at this moment... posted below.
Can anyone assist with better settings for my controller please? Trojan will not answer these other q’s....

High voltage Disconnect: 16v

Charge Limit Voltage: 15.5

Boost Charge:14.8 <<< Correct per Trojan

Float Charge: 13.5 << Correct per Trojan

Boost Charge Return: 13.0 <<< Think this should be lower?

Over Disc Return Voltage: 12.6

Over Discharge Voltage: 11.1

Discharge limit voltage:10.6

Boost Charge Time: ( m) 120

Thanks in advance

  • All the "load" settings can be ignored, since you should only have four wires into the controller, with the two load wire terminals empty.

Your charge voltage of 14.8 is good and with temp comp will see 15.2 at 35F, so be over 15v. Many inverters shut off if they see voltage that high at 15, so it is good to co-ordinate the inverter's high limit with the solar's.

Two hours of 14.8 may or may not be enough before dropping to Float. That one you can play with to suit each situation.
