I've got the same WFCO8955 charger/converter. No good. You could probably leave it charging all day and your batts wouldn't get anywhere near full. I'd hipshot you're needing/using around 40amps daily. A couple of 6v rated at 240+amps will get you 3 days or so with no solar or charging. You can bet on needing some charging time but I doubt the 1000w genny will push a big enough charger to get what you need done. I just bought a voltage adjustable single stage / 3 stage 70amp charger I've wired in close to the battery I'm hoping will give a much quicker 50 to 85+-% charge time. The proof's in the pudding they say so I'll soon (?) do a test similar to BFL13s to see how well the thing works.
Yes, please---be sure to note the voltages to go with the amps so we can see how long it stays at Vabs (14.x) AFTER it gets the batteries to Vabs. That is supposed to be a change from the previous PM charge profile, but no info on just what they did.
EDIT--this needs to be done with it set to 3-stage.
BTW isn't that a 75 amper? AFAIK PM doesn't make a 70 amper.
My mind's shy a few amps occasionally. It is 75amps...not 70. A PM3 version adjustable.
I thought you got a newer version that has the switch for choosing 3-stage OR adjustable and the access to the adjusting pot. Perhaps with two holes in the side of the casing for those?
