No specific restriction was given.
You think he also needs to purchase a Honda 2000 or larger just to run a few lights and the fridge?
I can't imagine that is needed.
That should be ok, but I am looking at where they are gone all day every day and get back to the trailer in the evening after gen hours and no solar luck for a few days.
Have to give up a half day's riding and stay to do a recharge and get it done as quickly as possible to go riding some that day. Or find full hook-ups. Just don't know enough about the actual scenario here.
Or stay where there is solar most days, like that campground we stay at out in the open. Can go weeks with no gen in the summer. At the same time, in nearby prov parks in the trees--no solar and all sites taken likely. Can do that here as previously mentioned, but no idea if such a place on the Mainland. We don't have open areas off road up here you can go camping like in the States.
IMO unless you can stay at the rig enough during the day to do some gen recharging often enough, and with no solar conditions really, stay at private campgrounds and save money on buying equipment to spend it on camping fees. No worries about full campgrounds--always some spots at those places-- and no worries about batteries---just go riding and have fun, no solar or gen needed. Does that cost any extra that matters? I don't know.
