My plan did not require any switching with the air conditioner having its own plug- in to the pedestal and the rig on inverter for everything else.
However, I see that there should be a second plug- in wire to the pedestal and that not be the shore power cable either, and that is for the converter, like PT does. The converter would need to be on a switch or its own CB.
So now if the batts got down to 50% you just turn on the converter for a while, same as you turn on the air conditioner when needed. Meanwhile everything else is still on the inverter (which is where I would have the shore power cord plugged into)
No generator, no auto transfer switches. Only thing on the meter running up a bill is the air conditioner when on and the converter if ever on.
