One of my concerns with a SOLAR inverter is this, (Actually 9it's two of them)
First: it is designed to work in parallel with MAINS power. now this can be a very good thing but .. .2: It adds to the cost without adding benefit for an RVer, (Big Benefit for a home owner).
The other is waveform. I have read that many "Solar" inverters are MSW. But I have not read the spec sheet on yours. So long as it is a True Sine Wave or Pure Sine wave (Same thing) I know Victron is quality gear.
As I recall one of their products is something many RVers can use. A 2,000 watt generator can easily run my 13.5/1500 BTU roof top air conditioners (one at a time) but alas, can not kick start them. That takes enough to kill the generator. Victron makes a box (Considting of a battery and inverter/charger) you hook up between generator and RV. the Inverter module is like the Solar units, Designed to work with "mains" power. when the A/C kicks in, it supplies a "Boost" up to 2,000 watts. Plus the 2,000 from the generator, Enough to get it running, then when the compressor shuts down and the extra watts are there. It re-charges the batteries.
