Not me - ANY solar is better than no solar, in my opinion.
The other item worth noting is that the ability for a lead-acid battery to "charge" slows significantly at about the 90% point. It is this last bit, or "topping off", that takes a good bit of time and running a generator to do this is pretty wasteful. Solar can really shine (pun intended) here! :-)
