Wheel Chair Bound - YEAH!
A sure test is to try both and decide...
"Do I get more pleasure out of driving or riding?"
As I aged I noticed two things
a) My motor skills and sensory input degenerated
b) I have become a less skilled driver because of a)above
Is it because a half million miles is "under the belt"? I don't know.
I am perfectly happy to let someone of trusted ability do the driving these days. I can spend time discovering new things out the window that I had never noticed.
It's a challenge to drive safely down here. Significantly more difficult because of drivers whose emotions often over-ride common sense, and the obtaining of a license, is a simple matter of bringing s photo, proof of blood type and a few higher denomination banknotes.
But the twisting of a steering wheel and pushing stuff with the feet is as doomed as gathering dry wood is needed in preparation for dinner.
The steering wheel is destined to become as much of a museum piece as the buggy whip or starter crank.
Arrive at an RV park. Go into the office, use your bank card. They will assign a new algorithm to pavement sensors to glide you to your site -- perfectly aligned.
Sound far fetched? California mountains snow areas. Machines are now guided with inset sensors in pavement. Rotaries, and motor graders are guided electronically.
Down here, DARWIN will continue to select the winners.
