Yeah when I want to verify the clarity of electrolyte I'll just -miracle- some out of a cell. Not having an access to verify the chemistry of a cell is a weakness not a strength.
Do you get your medical checkups by phone?
x2, and if you can, buy a SG hydrometer that is known to be calibrated to NIST traceable stds (freese (sp??) . makes it much easier to know what you really have.
IMHO for flooded cells a good hydrometer is a very valuable and useful tool in the kit.
