Split circuit panel design for inverted leg
Six months ago I ordered a new Excel fifth wheel and asked them to configure the circuit panel for solar with all the 120v outlets on an inverted leg and 2 #10/2 wires running from the panel to the area where I would locate the inverter and other solar equip. They did and I installed the solar and it has worked well.
Recently I got to looking at the circuit panel configuration and here is the design. It is a neat split-panel design that allows you to distribute the load equally between the two legs with no secondary panel. It is to code and simple enough for the average Joe to understand. The wire coming in from the inverter at the bottom makes that whole section hot.
